About us

Next stop thai alley...

Brimming with delicious sights, sounds and smells, Soi Ari is one of Bangkok’s favourite foodie destinations – a vibrant alley where authentic street food meets contemporary style. All along Soi Ari, cooking action and conversations spill out onto the street, and the air is alive with music and laughter. From the flash of BBQ flames to the sizzle of stir-fry, it’s a place where a little local knowledge goes a long way.

We wanted to give Melbourne diners a taste of the Soi Ari experience, which is why we’ve created Thai Alley. Just like Soi Ari, it can take a little sniffing around to find – but once you do, you’ll be hooked by the tempting aromas, lively atmosphere and thoughtful design.

On the menu, you’ll find plenty of old favourites, and a few surprises too. Well versed in the intricate art of Thai cuisine, our chefs know how to strike just the right balance of sweet, sour and salty – harmonising flavours to create taste sensations unlike anything you’ve experienced before.

Think fresh, fragrant salads, aromatic stir-fries, spice-laden curries, and refreshing citrus-infused cocktails (the Passion Alley is a must-try, if we do say so ourselves). Even our extensive wine selection has been hand-picked to enhance the Thai Alley experience.

Thai Alley isn’t just about indulging your taste buds either. With most dishes designed to share – and a layout that invites meeting and mingling – this is the perfect place for a lazy lunch, cool business dinner, or hot date. After all, what better place to catch up than on a Bangkok street in the middle of Melbourne?
